Real Madrid president Florentino Perez told Kylian Mbappe he had been "forgotten" by the Spanish giants after their Champions League final victory over Liverpool on Saturday night.
Mbappe recently found himself in hot water with Los Blancos after choosing to remain at Paris Saint-Germain until 2025, despite strong rumours he would join Carlo Ancelotti's side.
Madrid were understood to be surprised and furious by the agreement, but Perez didn't seem too fussed as he discussed the French superstar after the La Liga side's surprise win in Paris.
Vinicius scored the only goal of the game midway through the second half as Madrid clinched their 14th European Cup at the expense of Jurgen Klopp's side. "Real Madrid will always keep working on having the best players," Perez told Spanish TV outlet Movistar afterwards. "But Mbappe is forgotten now.
