The 30-year-old City playmaker enjoyed a number of standout moments throughout the competition as he scored the all-important goal in the first-leg against a defensively resolute Atletico Madrid.
He then rifled in the opener and assisted against the eventual winners Real Madrid during City's 4-3 first-leg semi-final win, before they suffered heartache as Carlo Ancelotti's side came from behind to book their place in Paris.
In 10 Champions League appearances, De Bruyne notched three assists and two goals with the latter coming at an important stage of the competition for City.
