Kirkcudbright Primary School recently held their Scots assembly. All children in the school learned a Scots poem and members of Kirkcudbright Burns Club came into school to judge and award first, second and third places.

At the assembly, all placed children were awarded a certificate and winners from each class were awarded a certificate and a book.

Graham Finch, Ivor Waddell and Ian McIntyre from Kirkcudbright Burns Club attended the assembly and presented the prizes. Evie Whan from P7 recited To A Mouse and was presented with the P7 Kirkcudbright Burns Club Cup for best Burns recital by club president Graham Finch.
