A killer is on the loose after a trio of inmates absconded from prison. Police officers in Derbyshire have issued an urgent appeal for information about the three men and are warning members of the public to stay away from them.
Killer Lewis Daniel Thornton left HMP Sudbury alongside Daniel Gerald Ferris and Rory Allen on Saturday, Derbyshire Live reports.
HMP Sudbury is a Category D jail, meaning inmates there are considered a low security risk. Derbyshire Police has released pictures of all three men and a description of each of them.
The first of the absconders is Lewis Daniel Thornton, 29, who was convicted of manslaughter at Wolverhampton Crown Court in 2016.
