Kenny Sansom’s family have sent a plea to his former clubs, including Arsenal, as the England hero continues to fight for his life in hospital.
Sansom has been having treatment in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital since last month. He made 394 appearances for the Gunners in the Eighties - and also featured for Newcastle, QPR, Coventry, Everton and Watford.
Arsenal had sent a message of support to his family, tweeting: "We're thinking of you all right now. Sending our love and support." But now the 61-year-old’s family are reportedly asking Sansom’s former clubs to support the England hero.
