Kenny Dalglish thinks Hearts and Partick Thistle should have taken demotion on the chin and accepted the will of the SPFL to send them down.
The former Liverpool boss isn't comfortable with the Jambos and Partick Thistle taking legal action against their fellow clubs and feels the outcome could be a disaster for the Scottish game.
And Dalglish feels the Jambos made an error in allowing themselves to be drawn into the reconstruction talks debacle when they could have been taking their case to court.
He told the Sunday Post : "I’m not sure how it will go for Hearts and Thistle, but if the Tynecastle club really thought they were wronged at being relegated, then they should have pursued that angle from the start, instead of going for.
