The Good Morning Britain star's ITV film, Finding Derek, followed Kate from August last year to February this year as her husband Derek Draper faced the crippling effects of coronavirus.

Derek, 53, contracted the virus in March 2020 and was admitted to hospital where he was soon placed in an induced coma. However, he suffered kidney failure, liver and pancreatic damage, has holes in his lungs from pneumonia and has lost 8 stone following his battle remains in a prolonged disorder of consciousness.
