Judy Murray has become the mother of all tennis coaches - but her own career was ended in distressing circustances. The 60-year-old grew up playing tennis in the summer and badminton in the winter because there were no indoor tennis courts in her native Scotland.
During her junior and senior career, Judy won an impressive 64 titles, so the natural progression was to go on the women's professional tour in 1976.
Judy set off on her own after finishing school and found life off the court very tough. Unable to afford flights she was forced to travel to tournaments across Europe by bus, and once slept in a tent in France which collapsed in terrible rain conditions.
