Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Jamie Carragher has insisted Manchester United need "something better" than Marcus Rashford in a brutal TV interview. The ex-Liverpool ace, 44, also claimed that the England star "doesn't warrant being in the team" on current form.Rashford, 24, had a horror show for Man Utd against Atletico Madrid with several misplaced passes and aimless runs before being substituted in the 75th-minute for Anthony Elanga. And the late switch proved to be a masterstoke by United boss Ralf Rangnick as the teenager bagged a crucial equaliser at the Wanda Metropolitano. When speaking to CBS Sports, Carragher slammed Rashford's Champions League showing whilst stating the OBE winger needs to be dropped from the starting 11. "I think we're still waiting for Rashford to make that jump to become a Manchester United great or a player who can take them to big trophies," said the former Liverpool defender."He's not there yet and at the age he's at, whether he's about to sign a new contract or not, Manchester United need something better than Marcus Rashford right now."Carragher added: "I think his performances this season don't warrant him being in the team."HAVE YOUR SAY!
