Inspectors give deadline for improvements to Ayrshire care at home service

An Ayrshire care at home service has been given until the middle of next month to make some changes to the way it provides care and support.

TLC (Scotland), Housing Support Service, based in Prestwick Main Street, was rated ‘weak’ in two quality indicators. The organisation must now review care plans and risk assessments to ensure they contain “accurate up-to-date information,”; ensure information regarding medication “directs and guides” staff on how to provide support; and show evidence of detailed six-monthly care reviews which “reflect” people’s care needs and preferences.The findings follow an unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate.An extract from the Care Inspection report said: “We found that personal plans lacked detail
