Earlier this month, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took to Instagram to mark their daughter Princess Charlotte ’s seventh birthday.

The youngster, who celebrated her big day on 2 May, looked adorable as she hugged her family’s dog Orla in the snaps - which were taken by avid photographer Kate.

But while sharing snaps of their children has become a birthday tradition in the Cambridge household, what else the young royals do on the occasion has remained a mystery.

However, according to Us Weekly, doting parents William, 39, and Kate, 40, went all out to ensure that Charlotte’s day was fit for a princess.
