Heather McLaren, 28, and Tom Hall, 29, could only invite their closest friends and family, who stood two metres apart from one another, to watch the couple tie the knot yesterday.
Hand sanitiser was passed out to the guests and the couple's witnesses had to sign the register, at St George's Church in Leeds, with separate pens.
But Heather and Tom finally wed, nearly four months after they had first intended to marry. Their original plans - a lavish ceremony in front of more than 120 guests at Greyfriars Kirk in Edinburgh - had to be axed because they were scheduled days into the lockdown back in March.
