Russia has bombed a shopping centre in Ukraine which is believed to have killed at least eight people and left many more trapped.Retroville shopping mall, situated in the capital's Podilskyi district, has been left almost completely destroyed by the airstrike.
The large explosion was caught on local CCTV as the airstrike hit just before 10.48pm last night (Sunday, 20 March).Emergency services worked tirelessly through the night to rescue injured Ukrainians in the latest example of Russian targeting a shopping centre.
What was once a bustling hub for shopping and socialising is now nothing but mountains of debris and mangled metal. One Ukrainian took to Twitter to share her memories of the shopping centre: "We went there to the pool, to the movies, to the stores, we ate at the food courts. "My girlfriends and I used to go there in the summer to the movies, to celebrate the end of the school year.
That place is gone, a Russian rocket flew into it last night."Devastating photographs show the large shopping centre and surrounding vehicles completely decimated by the Russian blast – with the large storefront writing smashed into the ground.
