An ASDA worker has been praised by shoppers after he saved a man who had been collapsed on the floor for three days. Delivery driver Simon Gilbert, from Asda's Stafford store, came to the rescue of a customer with mobility issues who'd been lying on the floor of his flat for almost three days after suffering a fall.

After knocking at his door several times and getting no response, Simon heard a faint voice so opened the unlocked door only to find the customer on the floor and unable to get up.

The gentleman knew his Asda delivery was coming so had managed to drag himself through the flat to the door so he could unlock it.

It took him almost two hours.
