Iceland is opening its borders to tourists on June 15.Last month, Prime Minister Katrin Jakobsdottir announced plans to welcome holidaymakers again.Many believed international arrivals would be put through a two-week quarantine period, but the nation has found a way to skip this step.Travellers will be given coronavirus tests at the airport and their results are issued on the same day.Those who do not have Covid-19 will be allowed to go ahead with their holidays, but those who don’t will have to isolate themselves from others.Testing will be free until July 1, when the cost will rise to 15,000ÍSK each (around £90).While it may be tempting to book a trip to Iceland, take note of the latest government travel advice.The Foreign Office says.
