A homeless man put his life at risk to rescue several dogs and cats after a fire broke out at an animal shelter. Keith Walker arrived at W-Underdogs in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 18 to collect his own pet pit bull Bravo - who sleeps there every night - when he was forced into action.

Mr Walker told CNN : "I was nervous as hell, I'm not going to lie. I was really scared to go in there with all that smoke. "But God put me there to save those animals.
