HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has issued a statement for tax credit claimants waiting on the £299 cost of living payment. The majority of claimants should have received the tax-free cash by the end of today (February 22) if they were eligible.
However, if those expecting it have not seen it arrive in their bank accounts yet, they are advised to allow a little bit more time for payments to be processed.
For DWP claimants, the payment will appear on statements as the claimant's national insurance number followed by 'DWP COL' while HMRC's payment will appear as 'HMRC COLS'.
