A Health Minister issued a thinly-veiled rebuke to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their non-essential UK tour. The pair embarked on a 1,250-mile royal train mission to thank key and frontline workers and communities for their efforts during the pandemic.

But Welsh Health Minister Vaughan Gething told the BBC: “I would rather that no-one was having unnecessary visits.” He urged people not to use the royals' trip as “an excuse that they are confused about what they are being asked to do”.
