F1 team principal Guenther Steiner made a brilliant X-rated joked about his team’s struggles of late after Kevin Magnussen secured points in the second successive race at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which was won by Max Verstappen.While teammate Mick Schumacher missed out on competing as he recovered from a horrific crash during qualifying on Saturday, Magnussen followed up his stunning P5 finish in Bahrain last week with ninth-place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit last night.
It was yet another stellar performance from the Dane, who only received the call to replace Nikita Mazepin at Haas 11 days before the start of the 2022 season.Magnussen’s performances suggest Haas have developed a competitive car, unlike the machinery produced over the last few years.
The American outfit didn’t score during a miserable 2021 while they only registered three points in 2020.Steiner is Haas' team principal who has become incredibly popular since the launch of Netflix docu-series Drive to Survive - and he had listeners in stitches during a rather nonchalant interview after the race.
Appearing live on SIRIUSXM yesterday, Steiner admitted: "Last year for 2 points I would have f***** the whole paddock."The remark appeared to stun listeners into a state of disbelief.
