Max Verstappen said he had to endure the "smart tricks" of Charles Leclerc during a thrilling Saudi Arabia Grand Prix.Despite starting fourth on the grid, the Red Bull man took the lead with four laps to go - and then had to fend off another charge from his Ferrari rival before taking the chequered flag.
It was the perfect response from Verstappen after failing to finish the opening race in Bahrain.Again, one of the features of the race was Leclerc's intelligent use of the DRS zones, which made it difficult for the Dutchman to pass him.
Eventually, the world champion altered his tactics, waiting for the second of the two main straights to make a move and therefore denying the Monegasque man the chance to strike back immediately.
A brief safety car period did allow Leclerc the chance to close the four-second gap though, something Verstappen ranted was "so unfair" over team radio.
