Tributes have been paid to a "gentle, loving" family man who died in a suspected murder at a house in Wales. Father-of-four Michael Gayle, 54, died at the scene of the alleged attack despite being helped by members of the public and the emergency services.
A 50-year-old woman, who was seriously hurt, remains at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers were called to an address in Cypress Crescent in the St Mellons area of Cardiff on Friday evening to reports of a serious assault.
