The Professional Darts Corporation launches its new Home Tour event tonight – with one notable absentee. Scotsman Gary Anderson has been thrown out of the innovative new tournament because his WiFi connection isn’t strong enough!
The PDC event is a clever way of providing live darts during the coronavirus pandemic, with top players competing against each other from the comfort of their own homes - provided they have a good internet connection and can stream their throws!
Anderson is a two-time world champion but the WiFi connection from his Somerset home isn’t strong enough to allow him to take part. “I was up for it but when we did tests of my WiFi, it's just not reliable enough,” he said. “It's really frustrating.
