NASA has launched a resupply mission to the International Space Station carrying supplies for groundbreaking scientific research - with a twist.Carrying over 3,500 kilograms of equipment and cargo up to the station, a commercial spacecraft travelled for two days loaded with materials vital for unique, cutting-edge scientific research being conducted on the International Space Station (ISS).The ISS is an important research hub because unlike most laboratories isn’t affected by much gravity.As well as the vital research materials, the mission will also deliver important supplies for both the astronauts and the ISS itself. It will even help them take out their rubbish - in May it will launch back into the Earth's atmosphere carrying more than a thousand kilograms of trash, and both the junk and spaceship will be completely destroyed.
