Elderly and vulnerable people will be offered another booster jab by the government, following recommendations from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).

The vaccine will be offered from spring for people aged 75 years and over, residents in care homes for older adults, and people aged 12 years and over who are immunosuppressed.

The programme will be offered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as local governments intend to follow the JCVI advice, according to the Health Secretary.
