Former Manchester United youngster Charlie Savage said it was an 'amazing feeling' to score his first goal for Reading during their shock 4-0 Carabao Cup first round victory over Millwall on Tuesday night.
Following their League One opening day defeat at home to Peterborough United on Saturday, a youthful Royals side made light work of the Championship outfit, brushing them aside to reach the second round of the competition.
Savage, who joined Reading from United on a permanent deal last month, scored his first goal for the club in exquisite fashion.
Tasked with taking a free-kick some 20 yards out, the midfielder lifted it up and over the wall, finding the top corner. It was a perfect strike and it marked just the second goal of his senior career.
