Enquist has absolutely no issue with technology helping referees. But he, and more importantly the clubs his body represents, feels that a one-eyed drive based on officials only simply can’t be to the detriment of the game’s overall package.
The stoppages, delays, lack of information, hesitation to celebrate goals and the sheer fact a whole new can of worms as regards decisions such as handball have infuriated not just managers and players in Scotland but also the people who pay through the gates.
Enjoyment is being curtailed. VAR is causing more arguments than settling them and Sweden’s clubs aren’t prepared to accept that.
