This week, developer Square Enix announced some pretty incredible news: Final Fantasy VII Remake shipped a whopping 3.5 million copies in its first three days on sale.

If that sounds like an impressively large number.... well, it's because it is! According to the developer and publisher, the 3.5 million figure includes shipments of physical PS4 copies of the game, as well as digital sales.

The company calls these numbers "exceptional", and notes that – even now – copies are continuing to sell through.
