A mum says she's been left living in a house of horrors after moving to Scotland hoping for a fresh start. Helen Davey, 41, moved near to Airdrie from Ipswich last year in the hope of getting her son into a nearby specialist school for blind children.

Freddie, nine, who has autism, lost an eye in a freak accident when he fell into a loft-hatch hole last year, reports the Daily Record.

The family decided to relocate to Scotland after Freddie and brother Frankie, seven, were diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder following the accident.

But their dreams have turned to a nightmare, according to insurance worker Helen. She claims the £245,000 new-build home in Greengairs they bought from housebuilders Ochilview Limited has been beset
