A family have spoken of their disbelief at being approached by police for not social distancing after their dad's funeral. Steven Smith's daughter and wife are said to be “disgusted” neighbours incorrectly ratted on them after the household stood in the garden to remember him.
Marissa and Kirsty Smith, from Mackworth, Derby say cops approached them initially to tell them off for not standing two metres apart, even though they were already self-isolating together.
They had just been at Trent Valley Crematorium, in Aston-on-Trent to give the 47-year-old dad a send off and were giving a toast to his memory in the garden.
