A former TV presenter who died after his car plunged into the water at a harbour lost his wife 10 months ago. Brian Black, one of the best known faces on Northern Irish television in the 1980s, passed away today after his car plunged into Strangford Harbour in Co Down, Northern Ireland.
The tragedy happened after his 'dearly loved' wife Lesley died in September last year, with friends describing her as 'a lovely woman, mother, wife and grandmother'.
Tributes have flooded in for Mr Black following his death today as many praised his broadcasting career and tireless work as an environmentalist.
The ex-UTV presenter passed away in hospital after being pulled out of the harbour water. A spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said:
