Ex-Arsenal goalkeeper comes out of retirement aged 40 to play for Non-League club

Arsenal goalkeeper Graham Stack has come out of retirement aged 40 to play for a Non-League club.Stack announced on Twitter that he would be stepping in for Chesham United in their match against Poole Town on Saturday (March 26).

He wrote: "So today I’m coming out of retirement! The Chesham GK is unavailable to play so I will be deputising in his absence.

Should be a lovely day! Up the Generals!"Now head of academy goalkeeping at Watford, Stack is making his first appearance since 2018 in the Southern League Premier Division South encounter.

He previously last played for Eastleigh.His professional career begun at the Gunners but he only made a total of five senior appearances during his eight years in north London.
