European football came together to back UEFA’s decision to postpone Euro 2020 over the coronavirus outbreak. But while nations across the continent made a call for unity to try and get their domestic programmes finished, doubts remain over whether that is viable.
European football’s governing body held a video conference with the heads of the 55 national associations, players union Fifpro and the European Club Association.
And there were unconfirmed reports that they also agreed to postpone the Champions League final until June 27 and the Europa League final to June 24.
Afterwards, ECA chairman Andrea Agnelli pledged to help “maximise the chances” of finishing domestic seasons across the continent.
