Uefa release statement on plans for next meeting

Manchester United director David Gill is due to sit in on a video conference next week to reassess plans to restart the Uefa club competitions.

Elite football in Europe has been suspended following the coronavirus outbreak and the Europa League and Champions League ties are still at the last 16 stage.

All Uefa competitions were suspended indefinitely last month and the European Championship, which was due to start in June, has been pushed back to 2021 and the Women's Euros, slated for 2021, could be moved back to 2022.

Gill, the United chief executive between 2003-2013, is a vice-president on the Uefa Executive Committee and its members include the Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli,
