A former Mayor of Bolton with a ‘unique enthusiasm for Westhoughton’ has died aged 84 after a short illness. Peter Finch, described by colleagues as a ‘great advocate’ for his home town, died in hospital at the weekend.
Bolton Council has said a civic funeral will be held in his honour due to the contribution he made to the borough.
