EFL chairman warns Manchester United will be 'bitterly disappointed' if controversial plans fail

Plans were unveiled today which would see nine Premier League clubs given more of a say in how English football is run, whilst a greater proportion of money would be given to EFL sides.

EFL chairman Parry, who used to be Premier League CEO, told the Telegraph that the plans had his full backing and that United and Liverpool working together shows how important they feel it to be.

He said: “The fact that our two greatest clubs are showing leadership at a time when the game is crying out for it is fantastic.
