Eagle-eyed viewers noticed that Jessica recently had new head shots taken and speculated that, as she has been in the soap for 12 months, she may have come to the end of her contract.
The murder would certainly fit with the storyline, as Chantelle's husband Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) has been barraging her with physical and emotional abuse for months.
