In 2019 E-ACT Blackley Academy introduced a charity project for the academic year, to enable its children to work together to raise money for causes close to the academy's heart.
The academy felt it would be a great project and team-building activity for the children, as well as the academy showing how much it cares about others and the community.
Not only was the project a chance for the children to work together as a team, but it also educated them about the chosen charities and how they help those in need.
Each year nominated charities are assigned to a year group to fundraise for which included activities such as face painting, Christmas fayres, pyjama movie days and Halloween parties.
