coronavirus pandemic has sped up changing consumer habits.Dyson has a global workforce of 14,000, with 4,000 in the UK, 900 of which will be at risk as part of the company's restructure.The company will be axing 600 jobs in the UK and 300 globally, with most of the job losses expected to be in consumer and retail roles.
In a statement, a Dyson spokesman said: "The Covid-19 crisis has accelerated changes in consumer behaviour and therefore requires changes in how we engage with our customers and how we sell our products."Job losses are expected in department stores across the country, for example, at John Lewis, where it sells to consumers.
