A dog groomer who was told by the local council to stop using her garden shed for her small business has been “overwhelmed” by the support of her customers who have stuck with her as she opens a new shop next week.
Sarah Keogh, who has groomed dogs in the back garden shed at her Westhoughton home for four years, thought she would have to move out of the borough following the “devastating” Bolton Council decision earlier this year.
Bolton Council refused retrospective planning permission to use the shed for dog grooming because planners concluded that the noises and “disturbance” coming from the business would be “detrimental” to neighbours.
