A mum-of-five said her family are sleeping in one bedroom due to a damp problem taking over her home. Hayley Birtley claims the problem at her home in the Sneinton area of Nottingham, is so severe that she recently had to throw away her children’s possessions and mouldy furniture from the room.
The 35-year-old, who works at Auntie Anne’s Bakery and is currently on furlough, said she first complained about the problem to Tun Tum Housing Association a year ago.
Hayley, who has lived in the house since 2013, said her sons have had to move out of the damp room on the third floor of the property, Nottingham Live report.
She said: “There are six of us in this house and currently all my kids are sleeping in my room. Are you a struggling parent?
