As the soaps prepare to battle it out in the TV schedules – both Emmerdale and EastEnders will air at the same time – EastEnders has come out fighting with a £87million set.
Fans were able to see the set for the first time on screen on Monday (March 7th). Emmerdale, meanwhile, has given the show’s iconic pub The Woolpack a major makeover.
But Coronation Street, which is currently the UK’s most-watched soap, isn’t going to be left behind. This week the ITV soap also has a schedule shake up, as it moves to hour long episodes at the 8pm slot on ITV.
And it has revealed exciting plans for a new exterior set build. For once it’s not a wine bar, but a shopping precinct.
