darts sensation Beau Greaves was tipped for greatness by Michael van Gerwen when she was just 12-years-old. Greaves, 18, is favourite to become world champion for the first time on Sunday when she faces Kirsty Hutchinson in the women's final at 2022 WDF Lakeside tournament.
She breezed through her semi-final 3-0 against Lorraine Winstanley, averaging 84 in the process.She was ruthless in the first set, starting with an 86 checkout before twice capitalising on Winstanley missing chances to take it 3-0.
She took the second set by the same scoreline, nailing a double four to move to the brink of the final.The third set was more competitive, with proceedings at 2-2 before Greaves landed a 180 before finishing on double 16.
Few however, would have been surprised by her form, given Greaves has already won three tournaments in 2022.Least of all van Gerwen, who six years ago played the youngster in a practice match when she was aged just 12.
