ITV Bullseye legend Tony Green dies after long battle with Alzheimer's

TV star and much-loved darts commentator Tony Green, known for his role on nostalgic ITV show Bullseye, has sadly passed away at the age of 85 after losing his battle with Alzheimer's disease.Tony, who was born in Hull, became a household name when he teamed up with Jim Bowen - who passed away in 2018 - on the darts show, bringing joy to sports fans on our screens for an impressive 13 years. Alongside Jim and Sid Waddell, Tony was the voice of a generation for darts fans.The upsetting news of Tony's passing was shared on the Bullseye Facebook page, which wrote: "It's with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear friend and much loved colleague Mr Tony Green.Tony passed away peacefully today after a long battle with Alzheimer's." "Our love, thoughts and prayers go out to all of Tony's family, who we hold such affection for, to all of Tony friends and those who were lucky enough to work with him.Thank you Tony for all the memories, all the laughs (and trust us there were many! ) and all the special times filming Bullseye together.
