Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler are set to face off at Alexandra Palace in the PDC World Darts Championship final. In the semi-finals on Thursday night, Van Gerwen triumphed over Chris Dobey while Littler powered past Stephen Bunting.
The Dutchman secured a 6-1 victory, checking out 32 on his final visit to the oche before the competition decider. Now, Van Gerwen is keen to break his six-year dry spell at the world championships and clinch a fourth title, having previously won the Sid Waddell trophy in 2014, 2017 and 2019.
He will be up against Littler in the final, which promises to be a fiercely contested match. The teenage prodigy was in top form against Bunting on Thursday night, checking out 40 to win 6-1.
Littler will be aiming to etch his name into the history books once more, but he faces stiff competition. Van Gerwen and Littler will go head-to-head at Alexandra Palace on Friday night, with the high-stakes match scheduled to start at 8pm.
