Danny Brough’s iconic Challenge Cup heroics will feature in the BBC’s celebrations of five classic finals on Sunday. But Brough admits that watching his match-winning conversion for Hull in the 2005 final will be tinged with mixed emotions.

The 37-year-old scrum half says the 25-24 victory over favourites Leeds still ranks as the greatest achievement of his career.

But it’s the fear of what’s around the corner now that is starting to pray on the Wakefield Trinity star’s mind. He is out of contract at the end of this season and knows that coronavirus could scupper his dream of playing on next year.
