CSI: Vegas has been renewed for a second season on CBS, but William Petersen will not return to play the role of Gil Grissom.Petersen will continue as an executive producer with the series, which finished its 10-episode debut season last week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.Petersen had only signed onto appear on the first season, sources told THR, adding that Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon and Mel Rodriguez have all signed on for a second season.
