Crystal Palace player James Tomkins' horse came in at first place at the Royal Ascot this year. The steed- called Rohaan - earned the top spot at Wokingham once again.

He calls his goer his ''Jamie Vardy' horse for his quick pace and agility. Speaking to the Mirror in February, Tomkins, 32, said:. "He has blown away the cobwebs and has gone out there in great order.

The horse is in tip-top condition and this has been the plan for the last six months. Tomkins, the report goes on to state, was introduced to the sport by his grandad and he has enjoyed seeing Rohaan's progression to the top. "Rohaan comes to win from off the pace and I've been very impressed," said Tomkins. "I get nervous before he runs, but it's exciting at the same time." Tomkins is joint-owner with Chris Kiely, who recently admitted that he thought about retiring the horse, before jockey David Evans made a phone call.Speaking to the Racing Post he said: “The horse went to York and bombed out, then David rings me two weeks ago and tells me that he's going up the gallops like an absolute lion.

He told me he was back. "I'm so emotional, I cannot believe this has just happened! This is the best moment of my life. I have two kids and I'm married but this is the best moment of my life."Do you think Jamie Vardy can reach 15 Premier League goals or more next season?
