Several prominent councillors on the local authority have confirmed the news this evening.Councillor Elena Whitham, deputy leader at East Ayrshire Council said that the collection of kerbside recycling will resume on Monday, May 4.The news comes more than a month after recycling collections were scrapped by the council as the local authority tried to prioritise key services during the coronavirus.Instead, residents have been receiving three-weekly residual bin collections and have also been permitted to use their empty garden waste bin to use for overspill.The SNP councillor wrote on Facebook: "Kerbside recycling services will resume from next Monday, May 4."More official details
