London's daily infection rate of coronavirus has fallen to 24 and the disease could be wiped out in the capital in as little as a fortnight, a study suggests.

The city's "R" reproduction rate has fallen to 0.4 with new cases halving every 3.5 days, according to Public Health England and Cambridge University analysis.

That means the virus could be virtually wiped out within a fortnight, reports The Telegraph. For every 10 people that catch it, they pass it on to four others between them.
