John Christopher Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, singer, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for ten Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other accolades. He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

Coleen Rooney has employed Johnny Depp's lawyer as she prepares to battle fellow WAG Rebecca Vardy in court. The wife of Wayne Rooney has reportedly instructed barrister David Sherborne to represent her in her upcoming legal wrangles after Coleen, 34, accused Rebekah, 38, of leaking stories about her private life.

And with Coleen hiring Sherborne - who has been representing Hollywood actor Depp as he tries to sue News Group Newspapers for libel after The Sun published a story in 2018 which branded him a "wife beater", a claim which he strenuously denies - Coleen and Rebekah's courtroom drama is set to be explosive. "If you thought the Depp trial was box office, don’t underestimate this forthcoming WAG war," a source told The Mail On
